☆009-I couldn't feel the sting at all; It hit me like an arrow.
Glad to see those little fuzzballs of doom are finally gone. Anything that multiplies that fast can't be natural. Though, it was kind of fun to watch that one herd of them falling in an endless loop beside the islands.
To Lin: I think I just might have found something similar to what you're looking for. Well, part of something.

The chain attached to the bottom is broken, so I believe there's an integral part missing. I suppose it counts as half-found.

Granted, they do seem a bit more warm and fuzzy than most.

You know what else was warm and fuzzy? Tribbles.
no subject
Warm, fuzzy, and buried people alive, if the journal accounts can be believed.

Again focusing on the negative! They couldn't help their own biology.
no subject
You act like I'm hunting them down and using them for target practice. I'm just glad they went back to wherever they came from. I'm sure they have more space there, and an environment that can accommodate them. [Or not, but honestly, Gene doesn't really care so long as the overgrown, furry locusts are gone.]

I was close to figuring out how to fix them! Just needed a little more time. It's so...quiet in the house now.
Gene used FLIPPANT DISMISSAL. It was not at all effective.
They were a Sphere thing, Genius. The Sphere giveth and it taketh away. It was bound to happen. But who knows, maybe you can get yourself a pet to keep you company. A better one than Boss.
Genius counters with Bad Logic!
I know and I expected it. Boss is more trouble than the Tribbles I'd trade any day.
no subject
Well, maybe you can trade him in for something cute and furry.

...Ok that guy? Has to be a joke. Like Boss. It's as if he got the default psychopath program left in him. It's like, you know how babies are supposed to be tiny little blank slates except for the curiosities their DNA leaves them with like bad eyesight or acne? We should be like that but we're not.
What's he worth you think?
Struck out after 30 seconds because of theorizing.
I don't think it's so much that we've been... wiped. Possibly more like it's all masked or locked away. Otherwise, how would you explain how things strike us as familiar? I think it's still all there, and certain things trigger it from time to time. It's just a matter of getting access. And why we're still prone to thinking of the same things as good and evil that we likely did before....You'd probably have to pay someone to take him, honestly.
...ick and here's where Dollhouse reality differs from ours lol
That's also possible because when Derrick, Bell and I got our memories erased it was just a temporary loss. But the human mind isn't some magical bag of holding you know. There's limits. What happens if we got all those old memories back--who am I then? Genius or this guy I don't even remember? That's why we need a way to look inside of our heads to see how we've been altered. If things are just blocked they can be unblocked. If the memories have been removed well then...its a lot more complicated.I'm a medic, I can pay top dollar.
Heh
I suppose you'd just have to reconcile your past and your present.
Might even be something like a... severed connection that needs to be repaired. Who knows. Got any ideas on how to take this peek inside someone's head?
Great. Now you just have to find a willing buyer.
no subject
What if I can't?
Or simply removed. You take out a new of the neuropathways that connect you to your memory of grandma and poof! It's like it ever existed because the road's been removed. Xrays won't cut it. We need something like magnetic resonance imaging, where you take a picture of the brain by manipulating magnetic fields...in other words we need more technology than we currently own. I'd have to create something...
Don't you want a Boss of your own to torment people with?
no subject
What do you mean 'can't'? Past is past one way or the other and people can decide to leave it behind even without all the memory loss bollocks. If there's something there you can't work with, leave it.
Seems rather complex. Is there anything you specific you want me to keep an eye out for in the Scrapyard to help that along?
I think I'm good, thanks.
no subject
I'm saying maybe I don't want to leave it, Gene. I don't want to know at all. Not everyone here WANTS their memories back.
Computer chips. Anything that remotely resembles a scanner. Hell, a digital camera would be useful, just in general. Basically if it looks big and shiny and looks like it once went 'ping!'? I'm interested.
Ok how about your worst enemy?
no subject
...I don't know, then. Maybe it's possible you could opt out of doing whatever it takes to get the memories back. I'm assuming it'd be a complex process, so I suppose there's nothing saying you would have to take those steps.
Noted. I'll keep an eye out.
I'd have to figure out who that is, first.
[The mun now has a mental picture of Boss being sold to Ali Al-Saachez and I'm not sure if it's terrible or hilarious.]
no subject
Hey somebody's gotta run the show. Better your brains than mine!
...Thanks.
How about Mr.Fuckyouallnowdie? I can't decide if that's mean to him or to Boss.
no subject
Suddenly, I'm a little nervous about putting my brains on the line. Please tell me there's some sort of... product testing that will be done before you try it on people.Hm, that IS a tough call. Maybe they should be introduced before any actual exchanges are made.
no subject
Yeah we'll cross that line when we get to it. Don't worry Name-Twin, my hankering for brains doesn't include yours or anyone else I know.[Actually if it came down to it he would test it on himself first. Hey he made a doll of himself, so I can see it happening]
I could charge money for that.
no subject
Good to hear it.[Awww, Genius. ;o;]
I think you'd make a killing. ...And hopefully there would be no literal killings involved.
no subject
It leaves a horrible stain on the floor.[bawwl]
Gee darn.
